Wedding ceremony live stream at Chateau Mcely

A Saturday in late April. The ceremony outdoors, on a lawn in the grounds, under an old tree.

We streamed it live for the guests who could not travel. The broadcast ran just under forty-five minutes.

Only the invited get the link. A wedding ceremony live stream does not have to be a public show. We can run it unlisted: a stream like that does not turn up in search or on our channel, and the only people who can open it are the ones the couple sends the link to.

At a wedding we treat that as the default, not as an extra.

The hard part was the internet. The chateau sits in woodland outside town, and the lawn where the ceremony stood had no usable connection.

A livestream wedding runs into this more often than anything else. You cannot push the ceremony back twenty minutes because the stream is down. And you cannot run it again.

What we build against it: bonding. Several independent connections are tied into one link. When one drops or gets congested, the others carry it and the viewer never notices.

The cameras fed the mixing position wirelessly. The mixing position stood right there on the lawn, and the signal left the site over the bonded mobile links.

This was one of our first livestream jobs. Which is exactly why we still think about it. It was the kind of place where “it will be fine somehow” is an easy thing to believe, and it would not have been.

Without a backup connection there would have been no live picture of the ceremony at all.
