Fifteen years behind the camera, then covid
Forpix started out as a video production company. For fifteen years we filmed events with several cameras - conferences, corporate events, concerts - and handed over an edited recording. Nobody broadcast live, because nobody asked.
That changed in 2020. Venues closed, events carried on, and organisers suddenly had to get the programme to people who couldn’t come. We had the kit and the people. The only thing missing was the stream, so we added it.
Since then we have done over 140 live broadcasts - from a twenty-minute press conference to an all-day hybrid conference and a fight night abroad. We still do multi-camera recording; at most events it now happens alongside the stream.
Four kinds of event, plus one system
We keep the list short enough to know what goes wrong with each format. Each page below covers the kit, what you get and the price for that type of event.

Four things we know after a hundred and forty broadcasts
- The internet fails first, not the kit
- A camera breaks once every five years. Venue Wi-Fi gives up almost every time the room fills. That’s why we bring our own connection, and why we treat the local network as a backup, not an option.
- The recording runs alongside the stream
- We record everything locally in parallel. If the whole network went down, the organiser would still have the talks or the fights. Over five years that has come in handy more often than we would like.
- Arriving early is cheaper than improvising
- We rig and test with time to spare, including sound and the whole chain through to the destination platform. A problem found three hours before is a job. The same problem ten minutes in is a crisis.
- One supplier, one point of responsibility
- Cameras, vision mixing, sound, lighting, graphics and the stream are our own crew, not four subcontractors. The organiser doesn’t coordinate the kit - they coordinate the event, and deal with one person on our side.
The people who turn up
Camera operators, editors, streamers, sound engineers and a drone pilot. At a big event there are more than ten of us, at a press conference two. We build the crew around what is being broadcast - not around who happens to be free.
Prague, all of Czechia, sometimes further
We’re based in Prague and the kit fits in a van - so distance within the country isn’t an obstacle. We have broadcast from congress halls in Prague, a multi-storey car park in Liberec, a conference hall in Pardubice, the skatepark on Prague’s Štvanice island and a concert hall in Nuremberg.

Planning an event you want to broadcast?
Send us the type of event, the venue and a rough date. We reply within two working days with a specific price, not a range. Live broadcasting starts at 600 EUR.
