Live streaming the Institute of Modern Nutrition conference
Eleven speakers from Czechia and Slovakia, an audience in the hall and online, and a recording people bought like a ticket.

The Institute of Modern Nutrition holds an international conference every year. We streamed the fifth edition as a hybrid event: part of the audience sat in the hall, the rest watched online.
What makes it hard. Eleven speakers from Czechia and Slovakia, a programme timed to the minute, and talks sold as a paid recording. A dropped stream here isn’t just annoying. It means complaints from people who bought a ticket.
What we build for it. A vision mixer cutting between the speaker and the slides, sound fed straight from the hall’s sound engineer, and a local recording running in parallel, so the recording exists even if the network goes down. We filmed short speaker profiles beforehand against a green screen.
What came out of it. Every talk has its own edited recording. The whole thing is paid, which is why only a sample of it’s public.
The programme and other editions are at imv.cz.
